Convenient and Reliable

For your convenience and for the delight of your child, we open all year round. During main school holidays of Summer, Christmas and Easter, as well as each half term break, we are here to offer all children (aged between 0 and 12 years) an exciting and varied programme of holiday activities in our Abbey Adventures Holiday club, known by all as AAs. We are always there for your child, for regular attendance, for occasional visits, or for emergencies.

Popular for 25 years

Our AAs Holiday Clubs have been popular for the past twenty-five years. We have vast experience in providing suitable holiday activities for all children from babies to 11 years of age. A wide variety of activities is offered, according to season and demand. Small children usually continue their familiar nursery activities, while older children are often more adventurous, participating in activities that include French Club, Sailing, Sports Days, Discos and Parties. In each week at lunchtime we enjoy a picnic and/or a barbeque.

Flexible Fun

If your child attends a Torbay school why not bring them to enjoy the fun during the holidays? When creating the list of activities, we keep in mind that some children will be with us in AAs throughout the holidays, while others will be 'dropping in' from time to time. There are opportunities for all children to enjoy a full variety of activities.

Secure and Dependable

We understand how important it is for you to know that your child is being cared for in a safe and secure environment, and supervised by professionals who are aware of their needs and requirements. Moreover, we are here whenever you need us. Many of our staff are employed for 52 weeks each year and get to know the children well. Furthermore, we are flexible and include activities that are particular favourites of individual children, even if it's not on the list! We know children well, and how to make their day in AAs interesting and fulfilling.

Themed Topics

We often use the theme of the holiday, such as Christmas or Summer, as the basis for Art and Craft topics, and there is always a variety of physical activities, including individual tuition and team games. Our computer suite, gym and grounds are available and in summer, children may also choose from activities that include sailing and wind surfing.

Key Benefits of Holiday Clubs

  1. Many children have busy parents who continue to work during school holidays. Abbey School provides full day care from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm for children from babies to 12 years old, whether or not they attend a local Torbay School, throughout all school holidays.
  2. Many children today spend a great deal of time alone, perhaps in their home with adults or watching television. Abbey Holiday Clubs give them the opportunity to play with other children of their own age in a safe environment. This gives children much needed opportunities to develop social skills and self expression with their peers.
  3. Even when parents are not working, children still wish to participate simply for their own enjoyment. Many children continue with lessons such as Tennis Coaching throughout holidays, and several activities are arranged specifically for the children attending at any particular time.
  4. We are here to care for your child and provide well-supervised, fun activities, lunches, barbeques, picnics and much more besides, should you want a day to yourself for such as shopping, visiting friends, or just to put your feet up!
