Check list Notice of Withdrawal Parent and Child VisitsWe like all parents and children to visit us in school before forwarding the application form, deposit and registration fee. As the parent of a young child, we want you to be certain in your own mind that we best fit what you want for your child, in terms of ethos and learning environment. You can only reach this decision by visiting us and talking to teachers and children as they work and play. From your child's perspective it is also important for them to visit us. We like to see young children with their parents, and we like school-aged children to have the opportunity to spend a day with us before transferring to us, if this is possible. When children visit us they see at once that we are here for them. All that we do at Abbey School focuses on recognised best practice in primary and nursery education and child care, and children sense this straight away. A visit to us is the best reassurance they can have. Abbey School has no academic admissions criteria. We provide for each child's
individual needs, supporting those who learn more slowly than others and extending
those who are faster learners. As your child progresses through the
school, the close liaison developed with teachers means that we talk about
particular needs and formulate appropriate goals together. ADMISSION AND ENTRY CHECKLIST PROCEDURE
NOTICE OF WITHDRAWALWhen your child leaves Abbey School, Notice of Withdrawal must be received in writing not later than the first day of the term at the end of which it is to take effect. Failing such notice, fees for the term must be paid in lieu of notice. On transferring from the nursery to school, once a Reception Class place has been confirmed, from this time, should this school place then not be taken, one term's notice in writing or school fees for a term in lieu of notice, becomes due. |
